Cecil was born February 10, 1856 in Liverpool, England.

He came to the Conejo Valley where in 1885 he purchased the Grand Union Hotel, now known as the Stagecoach Inn. He returned to England for a visit and in 1892 was joined in the Conejo by Cicelie Flora Haigh, a cousin, who became his wife.

His descendants would own the building until 1964 when it was donated to the Conejo Recreation and Park District by his grandson, Allen Hays.

Born April 1, 1863 in Liverpool, England, she married Cecil in 1892. They lived on the property where the Inn was located. They had four children Ethel, Catherine, Donald and Edwin.

Cicelie's father, Reginald, and Cecil's father, Edwin, were brothers.

She Died March 21, 1934 at 71 yrs of age.

More tidbits...

Ethel Haigh (one with the Cat), Married Simon Pet Hays May 19, 1919. It was her children who would own the hotel until it was donated along with land to become the current day Stagecoach Inn Museum Complex.

Ethel was born in 1893 and lived in the Conejo Valley until she was 52 years of age. She died on July 14, 1945. She was survived by her husband Simon, and her children. Simon Hays lived on 12 more years after her death.

Donald Haigh, (pictured between his sisters above) was born September 17, 1895 and lived 70 years, passing on in April of 1965. He was survived by his wife, Gladys Delle.
